Part of our Connecting the Family series, “Celebrating Life Together” is a weekend retreat that explores the art of strengthening and cherishing the bonds of marriage.
Dr Fred Toke will share wisdom, tips, and practical strategies in his engaging delivery to help couples enrich their relationships. From reigniting passion to improving communication and deepening intimacy, his presentation guides couples looking to celebrate the beauty of life through a stronger and more joyous marriage. It’s a journey towards creating lasting, loving, and meaningful partnerships.
Session 1: “The Glue”
This session is the foundational session of the seminar. This session emphasizes the spiritual foundation of a strong marriage. It highlights that Christ is the glue that holds a marriage together.
Session 2: “The Habits”
This session focuses on practical steps for identifying and transforming unproductive habits into qualities that enrich a marital relationship, such as the virtues of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and forgiveness.
Session 3: “The Interactions”
This session offers guidance on the roles and interactions of husbands and wives in a Christian marriage. It promotes understanding, respect, and harmony within the marital relationship.
Session 4: “The Future”
This session helps couples look forward and build a lasting foundation for their future together, such as setting goals and aspirations.
Throughout these four sessions, we endeavor to provide a comprehensive framework for couples to spiritually, emotionally, and practically strengthen their marriages, fostering long-lasting and Christ-centered relationships.
Speaker: Dr Fred Toke
Dr Fred Toke currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer of People for Care and Learning, an international humanitarian organization dedicated to breaking the cycle of poverty. He is based in Mobile, Alabama, USA.
With a background as a Clinical Psychologist, Dr. Toke has had the privilege of serving the communities in the US and Asia in mental health. He also conducted training for executives from renowned multinational corporations such as Apple.
As a regular keynote speaker for various Mental Health Forums, Dr. Toke’s humorous delivery style captivates his audiences and students with his insightful presentations. Additionally, Dr. Toke delivered an inspiring TEDx talk on “Winning Over Worries in 2016.
Dr. Toke has been awarded the prestigious Asia-Pacific Brands Award for his work and was nominated for the 2012 Singapore Spirit of Enterprise Award.
Dr. Toke is married to his wife, Agnes, for 36 years, and together they have two adult children, Matthew (31) and Tiffany (30).
